Let it Snow...

Let it snow, let  it snow, let it snow...  Well, at least that is what has been going on.  For the past 4 days, we have closed school due to icy conditions and snow.  Travis stayed home on Tuesday and worked from home.  However Wednesday and Thursday he went into the office, slowly but surely.  Mom also stayed with us Monday-Thursday, just in case we had school she would be at my house to keep Brynlee.  After we got the call Thursday afternoon that we would close school on Friday, she decided to bravely make the trek home.  It normally takes about 35 minutes, however yesterday it took her over 2 1/2 hours to make it back home.  

Then this morning we awoke to more snow!  I'm not sure on exactly how much snow we have had but I would say we got at least 5-6 inches in Justin, even though the lovely weathermen on TV said it was only 1-3 inches.  Travis didn't go to work today because of the roads so we decided to go outside to enjoy the snow with Brynlee.  Lets just say it took way longer to get Brynlee dressed with her 2 layers of pants, 2 sets of socks,  2 jackets, zebra striped leg warmers, boots, mittens and toboggan than we actually stayed outside. 

At first she seemed interested, holding daddy's hand ever so carefully on the back porch! The first thing we have to do every morning is to look out the office, living room and dining room windows to see the snow.

Testing out the snow!  She was a very careful walker in the snow.  I think she may have been more concerned she was getting her boots wet.  She was a happy camper until she fell and then there was no going back into the snow.

Views from the front of our house.  Not  many people have been driving on the roads today.  Hopefully, we will be able to get out tomorrow or Sunday at the latest.  We definitely need to make a trip to the grocery store!
