9 Months Old

Bryleigh turned 9 Months Old at the end of August.  It's hard to believe in 3 short months, our baby will be one!  Bryleigh is still our happy, joyful, always smiling little girl.  She is trying to walk everywhere by holding onto something.  She can take 1-2 steps at a time but is quite content holding onto and pushing her shopping cart, stroller or other toys around to get where she wants.  She still only has 2 teeth and hardly any hair, compared to Brynlee at this age.  At her 9 Month Check-Up she weighed 23 pounds, 11 ounces and was 29 inches tall.  She is definitely growing well, despite our 10 formula changes.  This past month we also made our first of several trips to Cook Children's Hospital to see a Pediatric Gastroenterologist.  They determined she doesn't have a milk protein allergy at this point, not quite sure about milk sugar allergy and had to visit the hospital to do the pH Probe procedure (picture at the bottom).  This is where they inserted a tube into her nose all the way to the top of her stomach to determine her pH level and if she is having acid reflux.  Despite the tube, having to put her arm in slings, carrying around a recorder monitor, and me having to pull out the tube, it was actually kind of neat to see how the pH levels in her stomach were affected by the foods she ate and her "mild acid reflux" as they ended up calling it.  If her constant spitting up is only a mild case, I can't even image what a severe case would be!  She is currently on Nexium for this and with another formula change, we are waiting patiently to see better changes, however not much has changed almost 2 weeks later.

Bryleigh loves looking out the windows and trying to play with the blinds.  I think she has seen sister do this one too many times.
Bryleigh also loves climbing on things!  Whether it is under the exersaucer, or on top of her piano or window sill, she is always on the move!

Bryleigh loves bath time with Brynlee.  Thanks to Brynlee you can always find the bath letters and numbers stuck to Bryleigh.
Brynlee loves playing with Bryleigh!  I am pretty sure Bryleigh exceeds the weight limit in this play baby doll stroller!
Yesterday, while we were cleaning the house, Travis decided to break out the Baby Bjorn.  We have only used this one other time when Brynlee was 3 Months old and we went on our Colorado Vacation in the airport.  The weigh limit is 25 pounds.  Bryleigh barely fit, but she loved helping daddy vacuum!
Playing rock band with sister.  Song of choice-either a Strawberry Shortcake or a Vacation Bible School song.
This is Bryleigh's new thing.  She likes to do baby squats as I say.  She will stand up by herself and squat up and down, occasionally she will take a step.

But most of all, Bryleigh loves to smile, wave her hand and say bye-bye to just about anyone or anything.

Picture of Bryleigh at Cook Children's after the pH Probe Procedure.  Even though it wasn't much fun for her she keep on smiling, as much as she could!
