Last month, Bryleigh's room got a makeover. Out with the crib and in with her twin bed! The girls were sad to see the crib go as it had become a great play/climbing toy, however when Bryleigh could lift her leg over the crib to get out, we finally decided it was time to move on. With the help of my mom, we were able to recycle some old furniture and frames. We used my old headboard from when I was a girl and sanded it and painted it pink and added a center B monogram in place of the former design. We also took the chest I had in college and sanded and painted it the two-tone pinks to match. With some updating to her walls with assorted frames and fabrics in her new bedding colors, the rest of it all came together. Bryleigh really likes her new bed and Brynlee loves it too! It has become the room where they play the most!
Playing in the bed is what the girls do best! Bryleigh loves climbing over the rails!
We also found time to finally turn the girls bathroom, well into a girls bathroom instead of being decorated for guests. With a new hand-made shower curtain, monogramed towels and some girly accessories it is now truly just right for our little girls!
Caught in the action! Bryleigh loves to climb to either get to the sink to wash her hands, brush her teeth or get her hairbrush. Despite her love of good hygiene, I see danger in her future!
