Christmas Outings

In December, we were able to go on several different Christmas Outings.  First up, was meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus at Bass Pro Shops.  Brynlee wasn't too excited for Santa, but immediately loved Mrs. Claus.  So as nice as she was, Mrs. Claus decided to be in the picture too.  Bryleigh on the other hand, was not excited at all.  Don't be fooled by this first picture, this was after she had calmed down.  Look at the 2nd picture for the real first reaction!

Bass Pro Shops is great at the holidays because they set up Santa's Village.  We were all able to ride the carousel, write a letter and mail to Santa, color pictures, and spend some time looking at the Christmas tree.  As we were leaving, Brynlee and I had to go back and tell Mrs. Claus goodbye, and Brynlee even reminded her she mailed Santa a letter.  It was so cute!

The first Saturday in December, we went to the annual Justin Parade.  The girls were able to see several different floats pass by, catch candy and were excited to see Santa and Mrs. Claus riding the fire truck at the end.

We even attempted to make our own salt dough ornaments.  They turned out ok!  We made each of the girls' handprints and a mickey mouse, Texas shape and a few others.

Brynlee had her Christmas Program at Wee School on December 13th.  Three of the older classes, sang some Christmas songs and it was actually quite hilarious.  Brynlee stood on the stage, but didn't do much of the action.  I actually thought she would have run of the stage, but she stayed the whole time!

We also made a trip to Texas Motor Speedway to drive through the Parade of Lights.  Bryleigh loved being at the wheel and Brynlee loved seeing all of the lights, especially Bumble!
